A Lunch Date Gone Wrong

So this is another story I wrote from the prompt in my writing class and writing book I have that gives me scenarios and words to use in a story.
Writing prompt: Your phone (or other house hold appliance) comes to life and goes on some sort of adventure.
Scenario and words to use in the story: A Lunch Date Gone Wrong; eruption, salad, fire, career, assume, roller skate, draw, promise, full moon, sweet
Arie woke up to a strange noise coming from her kitchen. Through tired eyes that felt unusually itchy with heaviness almost like a hang over, “What the hell? How did I get back last night? Let alone dressed for bed?” She said to herself looking down as she got out of bed thinking of the odd experience she’d had the previous night. She used caution when approaching the kitchen, as much as she could muster before a cup of coffee. As she rounded the corner she found that her tea kettle had been filled with a sludge of some sort that bubbled into an eruption all over the counter. She ran over to the sink to turn it off and clean up the mess. After cleaning the bubbly muck she noticed a note on the counter which read, “Check your cell phone.” “Huh? Check my cell phone? What nonsense is this?” Arie yawned as she crumpled up the piece of paper and through it in the general direction of the trash. Suddenly she smelled smoke as if something was on fire, running toward her bedroom she heard sparks coming from her cell phone. An electrical charge was coming from it like it was about to spontaneously combust. When it stopped she went over to see what amount of damage had been done and if she had to buy a new one.
Suddenly while she was looking at the unbroken phone it turned on and said in a happy little voice, “Good morning!” Arie jumped in surprise. “Oh sorry, not to scare you, or rush you for that matter, but the Professor must see you immediately!” The little voice announced. “Ugh! What does that quack want now? It’s too early for this duck. Besides I have important classes today. What? Is he trying to ruin my career.” Arie protested with an eye roll. “Aaa excuse me for knowing, but I took the liberty of looking at your schedule and you don’t have any classes today plus it’s 10 am! If you did you would be late! And why would you assume the professor would do something so distasteful?” The phone said irritably. “Okay okay so I don’t have classes today. Sheesh, are all talking phones as agreeable as you?” Arie snarked out the question. “Of course not I am a one of a kind! Now get ready sleepyhead if I had hands I’d through your clothes at you!” The voice chimed with outrage. “FYI you’re the only one of your kind! I’m going I’m going, keep your outlook systems in check or ya might get virus, wouldn’t that be sad.” Arie jeered!
As they walked down to the restaurant the cell phone blurted out, “Why are we walking, don’t you have a car?” “Yea, so?! On a Saturday there would be no parking anywhere. It’s close enough I can walk.” Arie barked back still a little tired from everything she’d learned and found out about the night before, still not understanding how she got home either. “Ohhh skaters! I’ve always wanted to try to roller skate it looks so fun!” The voice said in excitement. “How? You’re a cell phones. Cell phones don’t have feet.” Arie said with a yawn. “ You’re not a morning person are ya captain obvious!” The voice said in jest. “Ah, ya caught that did ya, btw’s it’s noon genius and aren’t we walking in the opposite direction from the restaurant? It’s that way, is your gps broken, satellites down, or whatever?” Arie inquired. “Oh yea, detour! Just wait till we get there I’m going to order a salad.” “Yea, don’t get too excited you might have a systems overload and spontaneously combust like ya did this morning then where would we be? Oh yea, heaven forbid, we’d go back to normal.” Arie said slamming her head on the palm of her hand. As she was teasing the voice coming from the phone a white Bus/Van drove up next to Arie as the vehicle came to a stop the sliding door opened to show none other than professor Achis himself as he shouted, “Get in!” She cautiously looked around and then got in. “So, what’s going on professor?” Arie asked blandly. “What do you mean? There was a full moon last night?” The professor inquired just as blandly as her inquiry drawing a circle on the window with his finger. “Don’t play dumb with me professor, you know damn well what I’m talking about! First off how did I get home last night? Last I remember I was at the cathedral with my classmates, you, and your beastly pet! You’ve obviously hacked my phone, she talks to me now like she’s a real person! Now you pick me up off the street in a creeper van!? What next are ya gonna chop me up into little pieces and leave me to die in a ditch somewhere?” Arie demanded to know. “News flash! If you were chopped into pieces he wouldn’t leave you to die genius, you’d be dead.” The voice from the phone scoffed. The Professor started laughing hysterically, “Admit it Arie, you had that one coming. Just relax, I promise no harm will befall you at this moment in time.” “Oh that’s sooo comforting, UGH!!!! This is the worst day ever! I’m surrounded by a bunch of crazies.” Arie said as she forcefully pounced back on the van bench . . .
